(5 springtime classes)
Over the course of five spring evening meetings, Sara McCool of Ungemack Associates in Darien focuses on property designs with an eye on needs and budget. She discusses how shrubs, ground cover, trees and the use of tested planting techniques can beautify your grounds. Additionally, she visits each participants home to review her current landscaping.
Outdoor Green Garden
Sara McCool discusses and demonstrates proper care for your property's plantings. Common diseases and pests that can threaten your garden are reviewed, and countermeasures suggested. Ms. McCool also discusses and demonstrates the "art of planting."
Perennial Garden
With Sara McCool's guidance, you can learn how to keep your garden blooming from February through November by using perennials. Ms. McCool also shares care tips to help you maintain your plants' health.
Creative Workshops
(5 nights)
Express your creative talents in a fun and informal setting. Five creative workshops enable you to complete a craft project in one evening while sharing refreshments and conversations with friends. You will make holiday decorations, children's gifts and home décor items. Projects are designed to satisfy everyone from novices to experienced crafters. Come join the fun.

Home Interiors
(Monthly meetings)
Discuss or learn about decorating and home renovation. Guest speakers include local interior designers and contractors, giving you the opportunity to meet them before plunging into home improvement project. The group also explores purchasing concerns.
Meetings are held at locations apropos to each night's topic. In addition, information about upcoming antique shows, special designer fabric sales, etc. are posted in the Direct Line for your use and reference.
